Screw the Socialist Islamic republics of Western Europe. The US should form a new alliance in S E Asia with Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, India and Australia. Maybe Philippines too but it’s unclear where Duterte stands.
We don’t have the money for a global empire. Worry about our own country and our massive debt.
Europe can take care of itself.
NATO has become like the UN. Useless now. Turkey? Egypt? Should not be in NATO.
And the new Intermarium, with Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary.
NATO lost all credibility after going into Kosovo.
I think that 70 years after WW II we should be able to depart from NATO.
(a)The passage of time with different world threats today, (b) the fact that the other NATO countries want us to provide most of their defense with us paying the cost, and (c) having an increasing strident mohammedan country (Turkey) in NATO that we might be called to defend, makes me inclined to agree with Trump on this.

I support that. It should have happened after the Soviet Union disappeared. Europe can defend itself against anyone (and it has no enemies except the domestic ones they are importing).
I thought NATO should have been disbanded in 1992.
How does the president “request” to leave NATO? If he wants to leave he can exercise his power to abrogate treaties. He doesn’t need to request anything.
