Think corporate welfare. Let’s abolish it first.

Agree. Let everybody and every company, stand on their own two feet. No subsidies whatsoever.

However, some companies getting 'subsidies' are only getting back some of what they paid as taxes and other fees, so, shouldn't those subsidies be rightfully called 'refunds'? If an oil company pays $5 billion dollars in taxes, and get's back $100 million in subsidies, are they really being subsidized? Tesla is a different matter, and companies such as that are just leaching off the tax-paying public and tax-paying businesses.
