Yeah, I haven’t seen Pence be much of an “attack dog” on behalf of Trump. As far as I can tell, Pence is to Trump, as Bush was to Reagan.
Think Pence would pull us out of the middle east? Fight for a wall? Hold NATO’s feet to the fire? Raise tariffs against China?
I just don’t see it. His main appeal I can see is those poor souls who want the President to be the nation’s spiritual leader, or the women who swoon because he won’t cheat on his wife.
Yes, Pence is a bit of a dry disappointment as vice-president. Seeing him sit like a silent statue in Trump meeting with Schumer and Pelosi is a perfect portrait. Unless he steps up, I hope Trump picks a more useful VP for his second term. Despite some political differences, I’d say put Rand Paul in. At least he’s got a voice, is engaged, is defending Trump. There are likely better choices. Ideas anyone?
