One correction. We are almost 30 days in to this shut down. I know it’s hard to believe that. The msm said we would all be dead by now ;)

Corporate sucking-up, pure and simple. Play nice and perhaps they’ll leave ME out of the next round of government regulation.

Experience tells me the explanation is in the silence. I heard this mentioned on a news show yesterday and no liberal talkers jumped up to say it was untrue. If their services and benefits were suspended the civil rights race baiters would be screaming to high heaven. Trump would be accused of starving

"Never in a million years would I have thought I would see soup kitchens for federal workers."

Bear in mind, this is a media creation. All the vacationing workers need to do is visit a federal credit union to draw on an immediate no interest credit line that must be paid in full when their pay checks resume.

Mac & cheese - one of the cheapest meals around. There is no reason why each of these govt employees didn’t already have a few boxes of mac & cheese sitting in their pantries, along w/some peanut butter & jelly, spaghetti & tomato sauce, maybe some spam, a loaf of bread and milk in the freezer, or a box of powdered milk, and maybe some packs of ground beef & some frozen veg. I have no sympathy. These are all cheap foods that will get you by and don’t cost a lot to put in food storage.
