Border rancher: 'We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal'

No, respectfully, I took the helicopter tour of the border in 1999 and I saw the prayer rugs, Korans, skull caps, etc., myself - that is first-hand information. I worked as a CT advisor to the NSC staff from 9/2001 to 5/2003 and it was still occurring then, as it is now.

And yes, I really was a CT operations officer for over 20 years and I can tell a prayer rug from a door mat; Mexicans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, etc., don’t carry door mats with them when they come to the US.

And remember, despite the tendency of liberals and a number of PC-inclined, so-called conservatives to characterize anything that doesn’t fit their bullshit “narratives” as conspiracy theory, that doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

I'll admit to some skepticism about these reports, too - especially since news of any capture of actual Muslim interlopers seems to be hushed-up (though at times that has been hinted at). These reports have been trickling out for a decade or more now, from sources both trustworthy (Breitbart) and suspicious (WorldNetDaily). Some reports have even mentioned finding ISIS flags or leaflets - stuff that should have caught the attention of the FBI, but... well, we know what those people have been up to in recent years.

So... fear-mongering by the border area ranchers? That's certainly possible, and I don't blame them for trying to get people to take the problems down there more seriously. Also, some reports may be hoaxes - but it would be foolish to assume that all are false.

We probably won't know until some megachurch in Dallas gets blown sky-high and the perps are found to have previously resided in Laredo. That just seems to be the way these things unfold.

It’s probably harder to be mistaken for a Mexican when you have a Koran and a prayer rug. Infiltration requires some deception.

Probably both, but I take exception to that. While I’m no fan of the theocratic regime in Iran and they are utterly ruthless (particularly the Quds Force), much more dangerous - at least in my opinion - are our “friends” the Saudis. For decades, the Wahhabi sect of Islam - one of the most radical - has been the most missionary of any of the Islamic sects and they have been very well financed by the Saudi Royal Family. The Saudi Royal Family would much rather have radical jihadis raising hell in the US and Europe than in Riyadh. They have also historically funded the education of imams and paid for their emigration to the US. When I was last directly involved in matters of this nature, not one single Islamic mosque had an imam who was born in the US; most were (and are) quite radical; and most were Saudi.

That may very well have changed with the ascension of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to the throne in Saudi Arabia. Shortly after he took over, he began to arrest and, in one case, kill some members of the Royal Family. While I have no direct knowledge of this fact, I’m told that every one who was arrested (and the one who was eliminated) were supporters and financers of terrorism.

Why would they want to be mistaken for a Mexican? It’s illegal either way.

Do you think the Border Patrol treats suspected Muslims any differently than anyone else?

Will the coyotes refuse to take Muslims’ money to get them to the border?

There are 3.5m Muslims in the US and we don’t treat them any differently than anyone else. Why would they care if they were identified as such at the border?

I agree about the saudis especially since 9-11 I see their insidious conspiracy. Iran is working on ICBMs and Nuclear warheads. That needs immediate attention.

You may be right! However, just for consideration.

It would not surprise me that Mexican illegals are treated differently. We know it’s a revolving door and that illegals that commit other crimes are set free out the back door by some courts in some jurisdictions. So yes I think it is possible that a judge, case worker (if that’s what they call them) or other law enforcement official might take a harder stance with an illegal Muslim vs an illegal Mexican.

The true believers kill people simply for “disrespecting” the “holy” Koran...and then they just dump them in the desert? Smells like...
