Leave an empty row of seats in the front symbolizing the democrats.

Nah, have an empty row of seats placed behind the media.

and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper;

Well, okay. Let him tell Nancy he’s adjourning the House until 2020.
If she doesn’t like it, let her argue with the Constitution.

“He should schedule an invite-only State of the Union at a theater of his choice.”

Acosta’s pwned judges would complain again.

A whole bunch of us already didn’t want to see that smirking Pelosi sitting behind him.

The company town should make sure it’s not surrounded by millions of berserk peasants armed to the teeth...

Democrats are their own worst enemy.

...

They are admitting defeat. They know the address would put Trump over the top.

And then the President will veto any spending bills. I don’t think the HOR can override a Presidential veto even if the Senate can.

Oh yeah. Pick a fight with a guy who knows how to counter-punch, and in fact enjoys it, unlike a certain other very recent Republican president.

This is gonna be good.

The constitutional duty is to report from time to time. There is nothing in the clause that requires an appearance, speech or some address, it can be a letter to congress.

They don’t.

They trust that all the armed guards will protect them from the great unwashed outside the area.

Or they don’t know they exist.

he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper;
………………………………………………………………
Sounds to me like the president is in the drivers seat, not Pelosi. “He may convene both houses” clearly shows that the choice is Trump’s, not Pelosi’s. Just another attempt by the Dems to shatter the Constitution.

Oh yes they will know.

They will come by the tens of thousands to protest.

Such a venue is an invitation to an assination attempt

Having considered the matter for 38’ : 12” I believe the best choice is a speech delivered from the White House on prime time.

There can be very large TV screens set up in the Capitol Senate Chamber where Republican Senators and presidential invited guests can gather. Democrat Senators of course will be excluded

“US Constitution, Article II, Section. 3. [The President] shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.”

The President should give the State of the Union in the Senate chamber, but he should definitely stand before the American people in Congress and lay out all of the record-breaking accomplishments that he has achieved for the American people.
