House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., acknowledged Wednesday on Fox News' "Special Report with Bret Baier" that border walls "obviously" work in some areas, and he rejected suggestions that barriers should be removed where they already exist.
The No. 2 House Democrat additionally asserted that the question of whether to fund President Trump's proposed border wall -- a dispute at the center of the unprecedented partial federal government shutdown -- is "not an issue of morality."
Hoyer's comments were seemingly at odds with the positions of other House Democrats, who have argued that border walls like the one Trump is proposing are ineffective and immoral.

In less then thirty days since Democrat, Nancy Pelosi was elected the Speaker of the House by an insane Democrat caucus and, she has proved she has little leadership skills if any at all. Her own people are turning on her or ignoring her completely. House leader, Democrat, Steny Hoyer has turned on Pelosi admitting that walls do provide safety, security & protection and that they are far from immoral as Pelosi has deemed them to be.
The Democrat caucus is now infected by a large segment of its group that is openly anti-Jewish & ant-State of Israel. Pelosi, Thinking she is a living god. rather then the nutcase witch she really is, Pelosi has ordered POTUS, Donald J. Trump to cancel his SOTU speech, scheduled for delivery on January 29th. I mean...you gotta be kidding me.
Actually both Democrats Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer must be smoking far too much reefer or manybe they just are 100% insane.
The Democrat Caucus should “immediately” get rid of these two uncontrolled, loose ends, as they and other unbalanced Democrats are destroying the entire Democrat Party politically.
He will shortly be correcting his earlier statement or Nancy will be eating his liver.
The few times we do hear from Steny Hoyer, he’s your usually nutty elderly left winger, and he hates Trump, of course. But I think he - and a lot of other Dems - are beginning to hate Nancy Pelosi even more.
She’s a dictatorial witch who’s only gotten worse with age, and she is obsessed with Trump. Also, I don’t think Hoyer liked her stunt the other day, where she basically used him as a spokesman in “denying the House” to the President for the SOTU...and then backtracked and left him hanging out to dry when the response to her stupid gesture turned out to be almost entirely negative.
If walls didn’t work, we would already have one.

Maybe Hoyer is just tasked to go out there to float new positions/do the backtracking, to take some of the blowback off Pelosi.
Pelosi was already the preferred boogey man for Republicans to run against. This has probably been dragging her National favorability below that of ebola.
If nancy and chuck are destroying the dim party why in the world would anyone want to stop them? They are digging a deep hole for their party why take their shovels?

The real story here is that Stenny Hoyer appeared on Brett’s Special Report. That was I believe a first. He was not visciously attacked and was given the floor to deliver his message.
He appeared uncomfortable however and actually answered the immoral question.

If it's many then an expansion of the wall is necessary.If it's only a few maybe a stronger wall isn't worth the bother.Our northern border,part of which I've stood right at the edge of (in a town called Derby Line,Vermont...look it up,fascinating stuff),is about as porous as can be...yet there's no rush of Canucks wanting to rape our children and rob our homes.
That is unless Hoyer believes that wetbacks have a right to be here....which many,*many* "progressives" believe is true.
