I’m really beginning to lean towards what other freepers are saying. There was something nefarious with that “trip”. Nancy jet-setting off overseas to “thank the troops”. BS.
I would really like to know the actual story about this unannounced trip. Who was she (they) meeting in Brussels? That is where the real story is.

The only thing that I might have done differently is to have let the plane take off...and then ordered it back when the trip was almost done.

Either that, or let Nancy & Co. land in $hitholeistan...and promptly have the plane take off, leaving old sourpuss to rot there for a while. “So, Nancy, you care more about Afghanistan than 800,000 federal workers not being paid, and more than the security of the American people...fine, STAY in Afghanistan.”
