The major cause of the high violence level comes from the number of "inner city" residents involved in drug trafficking and other criminal activities, rather than working regular jobs.

In the el Chapo trial last week testimony was given that claimed he paid the el Presidente of Mexico a bribe of 100 million dollars, that is why the war on drugs will never be won. There is simply too much money and too many politicians, bankers, lawyers, judges and police willing to take it. Of course there would be no money available if there wasn't a market for the stuff.

One of the silliest things I ever saw on Snopes was an assertion that the horse in Mr. Ed was actually a zebra, and that the stripes didn’t show up because the show was in black and white.
