Washington (CNN) — Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, doesn't think his divorce and business dealings will affect whether his father will decide to run for president in 2020, he told Vanity Fair in a statement.
Hunter Biden addressed his divorce and controversial business dealings while reflecting on his relationship with his father ahead of Joe Biden's impending decision whether to announce a 2020 presidential bid. The magazine had asked Hunter Biden if he thought his personal life and business dealings may end up affecting whether the former senator from Delaware runs for the White House.
"So, you ask me, whether my father might not run for President because of reports about me in the news. What you fail to realize, in asking such a question, is that my father has always been proud of me - whether when I was volunteering for the Jesuits, or working as a lawyer," Hunter Biden said in a statement to Vanity Fair.

Burisma, a private oil and gas company in Ukraine, announced this week that it has appointed Hunter Biden, the youngest son of US Vice President Joe Biden, to its board of directors.
The company, founded in 2002, is controlled by a former energy official in the government of deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
The move has raised some eyebrows in the US, given the Obama administration’s attempts to manage the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

The thing that will most negatively impact Biden’s run for the presidency will be Joe Biden.
I remember Biden announcing that he would not run. Obama stood close by his side like a Mafia boss just in case Biden’s will was wavering. Stood just a little too close.
You have to understand that there is a clear difference between the Hunter - Joe relationship and the Donald - Ivanka relationship. You have to start with the premise that Democrats are good people who occaisionally do human things. Republicans are ... well Republicans. Donald - Ivanka are traitors, which is even worse ... traitors to the Democrats, traitors to their East Coast City roots.
If Biden cannot raise a son that cannot abide by his weddings vows, he has no business being president.
