London (CNN Business) America's push for oil and gas supremacy could lead to a "climate catastrophe," a new report has warned.
The report by Oil Change International said that the United States is set to "unleash the world's largest burst" of carbon emissions from new oil and gas development if it goes ahead with its plans to expand drilling.
"At precisely the time in which the world must begin rapidly decarbonizing to avoid runaway climate disaster, the United States is moving further and faster than any other country to expand oil and gas extraction," the report said.

This is exactly like the buzzfeed fiasco. This report is based on lies and propaganda. It’s classic GIGO, garbage in garbage out. The whole CO2 is bad mantra has been garbage from the beginning.
And it isn't just to get at Trump. They are that way when in power too.
Just once, I’d love to force all these morons who claim oil and derivatives are bad to live a month with nothing produced by, with, or from oil products, or buy anything, transported by anything that uses oil products or was produced using oil products. They are also to refrain from those same things in their personal/public transportation.

The drilling was done years ago. The extra pipeline capacity to move the oil and gas is nearing completion along with the collection lines to the well locations.
What a coincidence that anything/everything that benefits the American economy (and, by extension, Americans) is always some travesty of death and destruction surely leading to the end of days.
You don’t tend to hear that about China or Russia.
The World’s use of oil does not depend on whether the oil comes from the USA or from Russia. As far as AGW is concerned, useage is what releases carbon into the air, not the drilling. Actually the trees and all other plants thank us.
Obviously we need to go back to burning wood and whale oil for our heating and cooking needs.
