House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Saturday she will not take up President Trump’s offer to trade off $5.7 billion in wall funding for a three-year extension of a program providing legal status for "Dreamers," who illegally went to the U.S. as children.
Pelosi, D-Calif., issued a statement just before Trump’s announcement, calling the plan “a compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives.”
Pelosi said the proposal does not achieve what Democrats have long sought for the "Dreamers," which is a pathway to citizenship or permanent legal status.

Trump played them like a fiddle and yet some continue to doubt this man..he is always five steps ahead, he KNEW they would reject this offer..because they dont want a wall, they dont want to give him his signature promise victory, and also they need the border to be OPEN for all those illegals to get in and vote Democrat

Dems won a lot of HOR seats in the suburbs in the mid terms. They could just as easily lose them in 2020 over this.
San Fran Nan sided with the extreme left kooks rather than your average American. Of course she was going to reject it, but you had the same usual suspects around here accusing the president of caving in. The president knows his enemy and how they think. Notice when he offered to extend DACA he didn’t promise a road to citizenship or legal status. He didn’t give away the store. He only offered “coupons” to Pelosi and predictably she rejected it. He knows the political game better than Pelosi and Schumer who’ve been in Congress for decades.
And while the Republicans had the House and Senate and Presidency for two years they didn’t get the border sealed because of the desire for cheap labor.

He should have offered path to citizenship for Dreamers that arrived between 2001 and 2007 in exchange for the $5 billion, not just the three year deal.
That would become much harder for the Dems to reject. Add another year of Dreamers for each $2 billion agreed to but it has to be a wall.
More like she’ll finish her Wild Turkey.
