A stunning map published this month by Smithsonian Magazine provides new details about the expansive nature of U.S. military involvement around the world as it relates to the post-9/11 war on terror.
Contrary to the narrative that the war is winding down, the map resembles a modern-day version of shows a U.S. military presence akin to the period when the the sun never sat on the British empire. Some 17 years after the war began, U.S. military presence globally is expanding and has now spread to more than 40 percent of the worlds countries.

“Guise”?
The founders are spinning in their graves, particularly George Washington.
Always remember, we can afford to have military in half the world’s countries. But we CAN’T AFFORD SOCIAL SECURITY. It’s a “Ponzi scheme” and must be dramatically cut back.

I’ll bet you’re one of those neocons who think that, when it comes to foreign wars, interventions, and nation-building, cost is no object, but you can’t abide spending money on our own citizens at home.
Should not be taxed on 85% of SS earnings.Already taxed on that money in first place.
I’m betting the article is counting a handful of military advisors as troops on the ground.
