The plan is and always has been to get them here and get them voting for their democrat masters as quickly as possible. Nancy knows she's really close to bringing that plan to fruition, she just can't give in now to the mean orange guy and the deplorables.
The Washington Post’s local readership is almost entirely government workers and dependents. They’re feeling the heat, the longer this continues. Remember, the only people they know or talk to are swamp people like themselves, which are overwhelmingly government workers, so they must be hearing it daily, and with intensity.
It is becoming undeniable that Pelosi is off the rails. She still has some pull, but her rivals smell blood in the water.

Pelosi is off on a junket to Brussels and allegedly also to Afghanistan, for a week, no less, and OBVIOUSLY, she has no time at all to be meeting with the Bad Orange Man.
Bad Orange Man makes Nancy say goofy things. You cannot make this kind of shenanigans up, it is simply too illogical.
The difference between fiction and real life, any piece of fiction has to make some kind of sense. Real life has no such constraints.
Maybe the Compost sees internal polling which shows this shutdown is hurting the Commie left..but they dont care..their goal is OPEN borders, so everyone can come in and vote Democrat

Agreed. I think even Schumer would be happy to deal, but this is actually - in Nancy’s mind - all about Nancy. I think some of the other Dems are getting tired of being her pep team.
Reduction in Force is looming over their precious bureaucracy.
