Good for the parents! Bishops acted too quickly to condemn their students. But not a surprise to me from the social justice bleeding hearts.
The parents should sue the bishop for defamation and putting the kids at risk of violence
The parents and the kids involved should sue a heck of a lot more than the Bishop and Diocese — include the media, Kathy Griffith, the idiot congressman, and Mr. Phillips.
There should be a Gofundme page to finance a lawsuit against the malicious media filth responsible for this.

What Protestants have done or have not done is completely irrelevant to the actions of the Catholic church. There is no linkage to the two. Just the same as any transgressions by Protestants are not excused by those of the Catholic church.
The "yeah, well what about what the other guys did"? excuse is bunk. Any entity's actions - good or bad, be it a person, a church, a government etc, stand on their own.
