Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has decided to file bribery charges against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Case 4000, the Bezeq-Walla Affair, says a senior legal official, according to Israel’s Ulpan Shlishi news program on Friday night.
According to the report, senior officials involved in advanced discussions say the decision has already been made to charge Netanyahu. Mandelblit has accepted the recommendation of the State Attorney’s Office, specifically that of the Tel-Aviv Financial and Tax District Office, to indict Netanyahu in Case 4000.
The Bezek-Walla Affair is a case in which Netanyahu allegedly received positive news coverage from website Walla!, which is owned by telecommunications giant Bezek in exchange for preferential regulatory treatment granted to the telecom giant.

I no longer believe anything in the media of this nature - anything negative on conservatives. The globalists will lie about anything and invent anything that they think will further their agenda. That loss of trust is a shame because even if something is true, sensible people won’t believe that truth.

I don’t think this is a left/right issue, although Netanyahu will present it as such.
Israel is not shy about locking up Prime Ministers for corruption, even after they leave office.
In July 2017 ex-PM Olmert, a centrist/liberal, was released from prison after serving 16 months of his 27 month sentence for corruption.

If they do, Netanyahu is part of it. He has been at or near the top of the political totem pole for 26 years when he became the head of Likud.

In an article in Israel Hayom, Amnon Lord wrote that the “attorney general and police commissioner are being pushed into the despicable work of carrying out a coup against the government.”
“The political-media oligarchy that has persecuted Netanyahu for 20 years is unwilling to accept its losses at the polls and is trying to force the law enforcement authorities to carry out a putsch,” Lord wrote. “Under the guise of ‘fighting corruption,’ they are trampling the will of the voter and democracy.”
