Kamala Harris: Documents (a British subject)?
US National Archives ^ | January 21, 2019 | research99

Monday, January 21, 2019, California Senator Kamala Devi Harris announced her candidacy for the 2020 Presidential election.

Outstanding questions pertaining to her candidacy include her eligibility for this office. The US Constitution specifies only a "natural born" US citizen may hold this post. Definitions of that term, according to the intent of the writers of the Constitution, as well as some later court rulings, indicate this means "born to two US citizen parents." The requirement was intended so that only someone with undivided loyalties to the US, someone not with possible divided loyalties to other nations, could assume the title of commander-in-chief of our armed forces.

The Act of 1790 which you cited was abolished in 1795 by the new Naturalization act requiring a residence of 5 years instead of the 2 years cited in 1790. The 1795 act also ELIMINATED the term “natural born citizen” together with other changes.

While there is some semblance to English law by custom in America laws are codified.

That's fine, but I don't think anyone can deny that Blackstone had as significant an effect on the Framers as Vattel.

My argument is with those who bluster confidently that it was clearly Vattel's vision, or Blackstones's, when it isn't clear at all - it just suits their argument.

I don't think it matters much either way since the Constitution says what it says and there's a body of precedent to guide the interpretation.

Of course, our court system has rigorously followed those principles

In her brief Senate career, Kamala Harris has made herself most notable, with her tendency to scrutinize judicial and executive branch appointees by engaging in ill-mannered questioning (including frequent mis-stated claims and interruptions). Many of those exchanges are viewable via Youtube. Here, we're turning the tables, by scrutinizing Kamala Harris' own narrative. Posted below, are public court records from her parent's 1971 divorce filing. Portions of these contradict some of her online biographies, such as on Wikipedia, particularly given timelines of events.

The court system operates when it is activated. Ignorance of the Constitution prevails everywhere because the citizens are too lazy to avail themselves of the document which guarantees our freedoms. They have been indoctrinated since grade school that they must follow the dictates of the left wing. Too few people think for themselves. Too few people bother to vote. Too few people will stand up for the Constitution on a daily basis. Too few people dare to challenge the dictates of the usurpers of our liberty. Just take a look at the sarcasm on these threads ………...that’s the easy way out.

Above was from Harris v. Harris, a 1971 Alameda County Superior Court civil case number 419441 (text description here, for the spiders).

The offshore bank account in the Bahamas, and apparent plans to take the children out of the country, deserve more focus and discussion. Certainly, this was not your ordinary marital relationship.

The rest of the matter, including the original divorce complaint which might have shed more light on the history and naturalized citizenship status of the parents of Kamala Devi Harris, has apparently been scrubbed from available records.

Apparently the links to document photos in this thread have timed out.

In light of recent reporting on Kamala Harris’ impact within the first round of Democratic debates, we’ll work on reposting them soon.
