I saw the mess and hostility when the land seized by the communist East Germans was returned to the original owners when the wall came down and unification happened.
Suddenly people no longer owned the land they purchased and built their homes.
There are a lot of abandoned buildings in Poland they can’t do anything about because they were owned by Jews who perished in the Holocaust, because at any time relatives could claim the property.
