This is such BS. When I was recruiting we had people rejected for all kinds of medical reasons such as an undescended testicle. And we can’t turn people away for crap like this?
Agreed. TGs need daily hormone treatments. They want the USG to pay for their gender reassignment surgeries, etc. And there are real questions about the mental state of TGs who have much higher suicide rates. Why should the military take on an unnecessary burden for a group who are a miniscule percentage of the total population?

My last 3 years in the active Navy Reserve, 1964/67,I was a recruiter.
My job was to identify the probably healthy good guys for various enlisted specialties of the Navy, possible OCS candidates, Annapolis candidates, Security Group Candidates and to eliminate those who could not do a good job in our Navy. These were guys, who had passed the minimal tests to be in our Navy given by the Personnel guys. Also, I often told candidates to check out the Marine Corp recruiter.
Even those selected by me and then my CO, were told that they had to pass a physical like every candidate, a police and a possible FBI background check/Credit Check for some specialties.
Later, our Navy Corp men eliminated many candidates, and then Navy doctors had the final yes or no re physical problems/abilities.
Also, they had to have an approved/stamped birth certificate from the state where they were born not a foreign country’s BC.
In spite of getting by the first leg of the recruitment process, about another 30% of candidates were turned down re physical requirements or legal problems.
Years later, any candidate had to pass a drug test.
Exactly! My son had a hell of a time because he “was” on ADHD meds. The kid is a near perfect prospect!
Obama turned the military into a jobs program with outstanding pay and benefits and one in which only a small percentage face a risk of combat.
Once this was accomplished, he deemed it only fair that these opportunities were open to everyone.
