Depends on how .we define illegal alien.

My wife entered illegally. It took 8 years for her to get a green card and another 10 to become a citizen. Is she “once an illegal, always an illegal” ?

I ask my co-workers their immigration status. They reply that it is “in process” ? What does that mean? Some are working on a student visa or tourist visa and hoping to get a work visa of some type (there are dozens of types of work visas of which H1b is only the most famous.) Some have nothing but a hope that they will find a spouse or anhor baby or something.

Define “ilegal alien” please.

The number is closer to 70 million.

A dozen or so years ago it was guesstimated 1 in 10 so bound to be higher today.

Some are more equal than others. Shows where the federal workers rank.
