Here’s what’s so puzzling and confusing about the results of Polls like this one — IT IS INCONSISTENT WITH THE RESULTS OF THE 2018 ELECTIONS.
The poll says 66% don’t want amnesty
The poll says 55% want a border wall.
Yet, when push came to shove in 2018, what did Americans do? They gave the House to the party that WANT AMNESTY and DON’T WANT THE BORDER WALL. That is why we have this shutdown.
I am trying to reconcile this poll with the election results and I can only think of the following reasons:
1) Those who don’t want amnesty and want the wall were too complacent and stayed home in 2018.
2) Those who don’t want amnesty and want the wall had other more pressing issues in mind which they felt Democrats could better deliver. In other words, the immigration issue is NOT their top priority.
3) Those who say they don’t want amnesty and want the wall don’t even know which party favors their view.
4) This poll is bunk and inaccurate.
Any other possibilities?
BOTH parties want amnesty.
Most of the ones who quit or lost were Bush League Republicans.
Some were great guys on our side like Dave Brat who was targeted because he was so effective.
The GOP did not lift a finger to help.
The CIA operative running against him in a D jersey ran ads claiming she would secure the border.
People are stupid.
There was also lots of vote fraud.
Many non-citizens were voting.
