Does he REALLY expect that crazy Nancy is going to give in on ANYTHING re the wall? If he does, then he's just NUTS and hasn't managed to learn anything in these past 2 years!
And IF he give up/caves on the wall, he's in real trouble with the base.
What happened to McConnell? The SOTU is to Congress and Pelosi is only half of that equation unless McConnell ceded his authority to her.
How is he caving? He’s still going to be giving a SOTU address, but it will be at a time of his choosing. She can’t play games once the shutdown is over, and that will take away any leverage she thinks she may have. In the meantime, he gets to screw with the Dems.
“Cave?” Come on! Stop with the drama! For crying out loud, the SOTU “speech” has not been around that long in our nation’s history. The POTUS used to write a letter to Congress. Not until the advent of television - and narcissistic media whores - did the SOTU become the public spectacle we now have. I, frankly don’t give a rat’s ass about the SOTU speech, since the POTUS can make a “speech” to the American people any time he may choose. And - what’s Trump going to say about The Wall, The Shutdown, the obstructionist Democrats, etc., that we don’t already know? Chill out.
