Retracting requires a new statement that corrects and apologizes for the offending statement.
The Left shapes the dialog by redefining the words. When conservatives call them out on it they are assailed like Steve King who spoke out questioning that very thing. Liberals have repurposed words like Nazi so they can apply the negative connotations to anyone they want to destroy without that person actually acting like or adopting the world view/actions of a Nazi.
People have recognized this tactic but have not struck back forcefully until recently. This is where the battle lines need to be forged. We need to “Pick the target, freeze the target, personalize it and polarize it”. Leftist tactics to destroy the Left by focusing on their repurposed language of attack.

You can sue anything, doesn’t mean you’ll win or it won’t get dismissed, but as the saying goes you can sue a ham sandwich. If you can prove someone knew something was false yet pushed it as fact against someone else, they can be held liable no matter who it is. That’s ridiculous Congress cannot be sued. If that was he case, we’d live in a totalitarian state. The federal government cannot be sued as it has sovereign immunity unless it waives the immunity, but a rat punk terror supporting member of Congress certainly can be.

Perhaps it seemed my last reply was not on point. I was suggesting that we have let them redefine terms like murder(kill)=choice for too long and we need to call them out and seize back the ground they think they have won.
A choice to murder(kill). I think murder is more apt because one murders persons but can kill anything alive from a mosquito to a baby.
