It is called the US Constitution. "Section 6 1: The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States.6 They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."

I read that as: no getting Arrested at work or going to/from work, unless its one of the crimes listed, and no talking to them about their work when theyre away from work.

She posted it on Twitter. She lied and said the boys joked about rape. No proof of that. That’s no in a speech or debate.

They can not get sued for anything they said on the floor. Tweets is an entirely different matter.

They shall in all Cases, except ... Breach of the Peace... I think this about covers it. A very good argument can be made she could be held to account.

They have privilege from arrest. Not from civil suits. The only privilege they have against civil suits is for things they say on the floor of Congress. She can and will be sued, and enjoys no privilege. The woman on TV last night on Tucker was wrong. She does not have blanket immunity

Perhaps the “breach of peace” clause can be used to sue the errant Mohammedan Congresscommunist.

So (a) they can be arrested during a recess, and (b) this would be a civil, not a criminal, suit.
