I recall Rush talking in the 90’s about a journalists’ convention and some surveys done there. As I recall, a majority of attendees viewed journalism as a path for social advocacy, and a large majority identified as Democrat.

When I was in college way back in ancient times (circa 1980) J Schools were already teaching social advocacy has the only legitimate journalistic process, having supplanted who-what-where-why-how.

You are seeing the end results of four decades of that work.
