What is the upside (for Trump) to hiring Barr as AG?
I’m not seeing it. No one is in any big hurry to fill that position, not should they be.

He will fit right in with every other Cabinet and West Wing executive Trump has hired.
When Trump nominated Willian Barr, I did less than five minutes of research.
I discovered that all eight Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to confirm Barr as Attorney General in 1991.
That was the same gang of Democrats that destroyed Robert Bork and tried to destroy Clarence Thomas.
But they voted 8-0 for William Barr.
Trump is not lazy, or stupid, or weak.
Trump is a moderately conservative Democrat who has consciously filled his Cabinet and the West Wing with non-partisan Centrists and establishment Republicans.
Trump’s hiring will prove to be his downfall.
In this case Joe DiGennova and his wife Victoria Toensing (both well in their 70s) have been publicly vouching for him.
It sure appears as if they have been mistaken.

That’s good to know. Thanks for the info. I’m willing to give Barr the benefit of the doubt. What choice do I have?
It is troubling when an Admiral declares he would not launch a nuclear attack if ordered to do so and suffers no consequences. Many of his employees openly disobey his wishes and I find very little to like with any of his cabinet choices, especially Sessions and his replacement or FBI director.
Pompeo looks to be some what in his corner but then appoints a NeverTrumper to an important position.
I am beyond helping anyone and I haven't watched a single news show since the weekend before the Mid Term elections and plan on watching no more unless war or revolution is declared. I have voted for my last crook. If Trump is powerless, what does that make us?
