I was glad to see @POTUS’s announcement that he and Democrats have reached an agreement that will immediately re-open the government, while providing the room to negotiate funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

Ya, like the turtle had nothing to do with it. I’m sure the repubs were going to undercut Trump if Trump did not cave. Time for others to join me as an independent to create a new party.
McConnell is not a good manager. I think that when several (technically) GOPers defected and voted down the Senate bill, he realized that the game was lost. It was probably partially his fault, because he’s not good at enforcing party discipline, but also because of the fact that there are several serious RINOs in there and they can always be trusted to turn on their party.
