he miscalculated all along. He negotiated and she wasn’t negotiating. What chapter is that in his book. When he declares, she will block in federal court for 20 months and he will lose the election with nothing going on on the wall. He has been deferring to judges on immigration and border security.

His only recourse is to declare and tell the judiciary they have no standing in emergencies.

Maybe Trump should form his own militia to guard the border and ask for volunteers armed with presidential pardons for any and all actions??

In a serious vain, my guess is he is hoping nothing happens, declares a log jam which is causing the emergency and moving ahead with a declaration. When some POS judge declares he does not have the power, asks how many divisions he has to enforce his BS order and then just move along through the COE.

“he miscalculated all along. He negotiated and she wasn’t negotiating.”

Then you have to make them hurt until they see the light, not give them what they demand.

“He negotiated and she wasn’t negotiating.”

That is her mistake. That is why she refuses to schedule the SOTU address. He has offered her lots of means to help this situation regarding illegals.

She has refused all of them. Even diehard leftists wanted what he offered.

She made this very big mistake, and he is going to crucify her with it.

Yup! That’s it in a nutshell.

“....and he will lose the election with nothing going on on the wall....”

This idea that President Trump’s reelection depends solely on whether the wall gets built is simplistic at best.

It is true that building the wall was a key campaign promise, and that he must be seen as a “promise keeper” in order to retain his base of support and to attract crossovers disappointed in the Democrat party.

In my opinion, Donald Trump has already more than earned the title “promise keeper” - and that title is earned not only for what he’s accomplished but also for his efforts. After all, he’s not a King - he heads up one of three coequal branches of government. He is turning the Judicual branch conservative (as promised), but We the People have a responsibility to elect like-minded MAGA leaders to the legislature - and we have not accomplished that. That is not the President’s failure.

I think POTUS will be easily reelected - wall or no wall - as long as he keeps trying to keep his promises - I assume he will.

Remember, even for those of us who consider the wall to be their “single issue” - Donald Trump is still going to be our best prospect for getting a wall in 2020. He’ll still get our vote.
