El Salvador’s population would be decisively higher were it not for so many of its people coming to El Norte.
They are here. American city after city has over 100,000 Salvadorans...Not just mega cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles but Washington, Houston, and New Orleans. There are millions of 1st and 2nd generation Salvadorans among us and this from a country you list as having less than six and half million people. There economy is based so much upon dollars being sent back to family in El Salvador that years ago the country dropped its Colon (named after Columbus) and adopted the United States dollar as its official currency.
