People forget that the Canaanites were given 400 years reprieve to get their act together. They failed, and because of their vile sexual sins, the land itself spewed them out, just as it did the Hebrews centuries later by the conquest of the Assyrians and the Babylonians.
And what happened to the land? The Northern kingdom of Israel-Samaria was replaced by five pagan tribes, the Southern kingdom remained fallow for 70 years, till the Return.

Some people just happen to be full of you know what. You would think that many of them acquire some wisdom as they grow older, especially politicians; but this doesn’t hold true. Just take a couple examples like Bernie Sanders or Queen Nancy. You would think at their ripe old age some enlightenment would have taken place, prior to heir pending departure to the other side which isn’t that far off, at least leave a good impression behind but no, they pride themselves to spout even more stupid stuff than they ever have.
