No delays? Are you going to force doctors and other high level medical professionals at gunpoint to work for low pay? I guess you are.
I suppose "low pay" is a relative term, but pay to doctors is not a driver of the current crisis.
A wave of physician suicide, massive early retirements, the fact that we have an inverted workload pyramid (60s work harder and longer than 50s, who work harder and longer than 40s, etc) so that each retiring physician needs two replacements, the erection of a gigantic Potemkin Village structure based on electronic records which create a simulation of quality and care while actual quality and effective care deteriorate relentlessly - all this has been brought to you by a more-or-less illegal conglomerate of hospitals-"private" health plans-big pharma and the government.
THAT is what you have now. It is not going to survive.
So, the question is, how can it be done better?
As I said above, if the only people working the problem are communists, what you are going to get is communism.
