How about an across the board 20% import tariff? Or we match any countries tariff. Either one or both.

I would be perfectly happy with either scenario.

In fact, I've long been an advocate of applying tariffs "across the board" by trading partner rather than by product or raw material.

A 20% tariff on every import from China, for example, is a much better option than a 50% tariff on steel, a 40% tariff on aluminum, and smaller tariffs (or no tariffs) on everything else.
