On Wednesday, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) released a survey showing that college students in Generation Z or iGen are conflicted on free speech and seem to value tolerance and inclusion more than this important First Amendment liberty. Sixty percent of students say "promoting an inclusive environment that is welcoming to a diverse group of students" is more important than "protecting students' free speech rights, even if it means allowing hurtful or offensive speech," the FIRE/YouGov poll found. More than half of students (57 percent) either agree or strongly agree that "colleges and universities should be able to restrict student expression of political views that are hurtful or offensive to certain students." Even worse, more than two-thirds of students (70 percent) agree with this statement: "students at my college or university should be excluded from extracurricular activities (ex: sports, Greek life, student organizations) if they publicly express intolerant, hurtful, or offensive viewpoints."

The only way to fight this is to force them to live by their own rules. I know this is happening to some extent, but Christian students and advocates must redouble their efforts to insist that they be provided the same protections from “offensive speech” that other, favored groups enjoy. I know that conservatives, and conservative Christians in particular, don’t go around like the leftist snowflakes do just looking to be offended every minute of the day, but maybe it’s time to start.
50 years ago, 60 percent of students valued getting high and showers with their girlfriends over studying.
Tolerance:
The cowardice required to brook multiculti dictatorship and other associated gobbledigook.
When the next Civil War begins, we will need to shoot about 90 percent of the millennial and generation X population - because, while you may educate ignorance, you cannot fix stupid.
Of course, the result of such action will be that the United States shall fall far below the necessary replacement population percentage, to a level which we cannot (under today’s mindset of limiting parentage to 2-children per family) recover from.
If you value tolerance, how can you not value free speech, because allowing people with whom you disagree to express their views is a form of tolerance?
Personally, I think a national campaign of lead pipes and blanket parties will do wonders to adjust their attitudes to a more nominal mindset.
