In what sense can these people be considered “persons of interest”? You can’t tell anything at all about them, except that there are two of them. And the darkness of the images suggests that it would be virtually impossible for them to identify the alleged victim from a distance. How, then, would they know who he was, that he was black, and that he was a homosexual?

They are POI because they were in the vicinity during the period the alleged victim claims the alleged attack occurred. Like the guy caught on film driving away from another recent hatecrimehoax, the murder of Jazmine Barnes by her mom's drug dealer. That "Person of Interest" had already been convicted by the media when police solved the crime and cleared him.

Were I them, I would be very cautious in stepping forward considering the frenzied lynch mob forming in Chi-Town.

"Who ever mentioned MAGA hats in this story? I have never seen that mentioned once."

The MAGA hat report appears to have originated with MSNBC National correspondent Miguel Almaguer :

"Certainly, there are many indications of a hate crime here. They are looking for two suspects who were apparently wearing Make America Great Again hats, although that has not yet been officially confirmed. There's been no detail description on the suspects,” Almaguer stated.

Theoretical potential witnesses.
