Funny you should mention that. A guy where I used to work walked in one day with a new large tattoo of some asian characters on his forearm. The Vietnamese guy we worked with started snickering and asked him if he knew what it said. He said it was a Japanese word, don't remember it, and that it meant vigilante warrior. Our coworker laughed and told him it was actually Cantonese and translated to "crazy idiot".
I appreciate the way that many people from other cultures have of dealing with western cultural appropriation by those liberals who think everything is more or less the same.
