The Virginia Governor seems to think the baby can be "aborted" even it has already been born healthy (from Allie Struckie's TownHall article:
"...In fact, Virginia governor Ralph Northam explained clearly that this abortion bill would indeed allow doctors to kill the child after birth. In a radio interview, Gov. Northam said: “If a mother is in labor. . .the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
Sounds like all mothers will make the choice after the babies are born and must tell the doctor whether or not to make the baby breath or to remove an umbilical cord wrapped around the baby’s neck? “Ma’am, do you want this baby to die? It’s your CHOICE.”
I don’t see how any doctor can square this with the hypocratic oath.
So the sickening news stories each year of mothers who left their live newborn babies in garbage dumpsters now have to add that if the mothers had been in another state they could have been absolved of murder charges under the right conditions.
A 2009 report I saw said CBS Local News reported the mother was now “remorseful.”
The New Year’s Eve 2019 one in Philadelphia said the teen mother “didn’t see any other option.” Her tiny infant was suffocated first allegedly by a “friend” who then put him in the dumpster.
