He’s trying to say, that years ago New York didn’t experience such storms. That is factually incorrect, but it’s doubtful anyone in the media will challenge him on facts of previous hurricanes hitting New York.

I guess he missed the wall to wall nationwide coverage of “Superstorm” Sandy. Because it hit new York where all the media is based, the coverage was nonstop.
After Harvey and the national news anchors come down here and did 1/2 of their news on the storm and spent the other 1/2 bashing Trump. They didn’t stay long either. Flyover country isn’t for them.
What does this brainless dandy mean NY doesn’t get hurricanes? We just had Hurricane Sandy a couple years ago, and many people affected by it STILL don’t have their homes repaired. Government promises of repair funds, ya see. NY has had plenty of hurricanes, especially being right by the ocean down here.
So to avoid the fact that this a-hole is no better than Adolph Hitler as a murderous tyrant, he tries to spin into the climate change talking points?
I remember a hurricane way back when I was in first grade (1958) and many more there after. What the hell is that demon smoking?

Barely a tropical storm when it turned inland at one of the highest tides, in one of the most populated spots in the US. Also was followed by Two massive snow storm fronts coming down from the North.
So they blamed... glo-bull warming.
