Right! I have a photo of Katherine Hepburn posing in her bathtub after her parents’ CT home was blown away in ‘38.

I’m old enough to remember Hurricane Donna which hit our part of Queens in the very early 60s.

Donna was a nasty one. Took on most of Florida and then hugged the East Coast up to Long Island.

Oh, I forgot. It's now a "fact" Donna never happened.

That was one heck of a terrible hurricane, in ‘60!

I’m old enough to remember Hurricane Donna which hit our part of Queens in the very early 60s.
Yep, I was a young teen back then and remember it well.
Three years later we moved to Rochester and I distinctly remember my mother giving our hurricane lamps to a neighbor just before we left.
