Mueller's team seized 'voluminous and complex' evidence from Roger Stone

Federal investigators probing Roger Stone, the former Trump campaign official indicted last week in the Russia probe, have seized multiple hard drives containing years of communication records from cellphones and email accounts, the special counsel's office said Thursday.

Robert Mueller's prosecutors, in a new court filing, described the evidence as "voluminous and complex" in asking a judge to delay his trial to give them more time to sift through the seized devices.

The court papers said investigators grabbed hard drives containing several terabytes of information, including "FBI case reports, search warrant applications and results (e.g., Apple iCloud accounts and email accounts), bank and financial records, and the contents of numerous physical devices (e.g., cellular phones, computers, and hard drives)."

The FBI is doing what it calls a "filter review" of the devices, setting aside any evidence that cannot be admissible in court because it is considered privileged.

During a press conference Thursday, Stone agreed that evidence is voluminous and complex, and said both parties had agreed to the language in the government's filing.

“setting aside any evidence that cannot be admissible in court because it is considered privileged.”

Going through attorney client communications is enough to get this thrown out.

Is Stone entitled to the Bill of Rights or are we living in a post-constitutional Müller autocracy?

This analysis from Wikipedia:

“The Sixth Amendment grants criminal defendants the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury consisting of jurors from the state and district in which the crime was alleged to have been committed. Under the impartial jury requirement, jurors must be unbiased, and the jury must consist of a representative cross-section of the community.”

A lot of this is nothing more than Weissmann and pals collecting political intelligence on the opposition party.

Having for example the entire database of the Trump campaign communications and the transition communications is invaluable for Democrats trying to piece together the networks of political operatives, donors and volunteers that pulled off the Trump victory over the Democrats.

With Stone the famed political dirty trickster, they can go back through his communications and see what tricks were pulled on the Democrats and by whom.

This is about payback and using the tools of the criminal justice system to gain political intelligence useful for attacking and counter-attacking Trump and Republicans in the 2020 election.

Maybe Trump and Stone prepared for that event.

Gave the FBI a bunch of garbage?

Hope so.

Still waiting for the same FBI to seize and use voluminous evidence from Huma Abedin and Cheryll Mills, both of whom admitted to lying to the FBI while protecting Hillary from her felonious acts.

Who was that again who personally let them walk? Oh, that's right... James Comey.

OMG, no one else could pull that off as well. I have been lamenting, "You can't fight city hall" regarding his dreadful plight, but he seems to be handling it better than I. Godspeed, Mr. Stone.

Stone has known that Mueller’s been pursuing him for a very long time. I highly doubt he kept anything of importance in his home.

"Mueller's team seized 'voluminous and complex' evidence"

In other words, they have a large amount of uncorrelatable data that would make no sense to the untrained "sheeple", but are sure that it will prove that Roger Stone is guilty.

It’s to collect and analyze all of the opposition research Stone has, and to identify all of his contacts.

I'm gonna go with you on this.

And to use the Democrat Department of Jesters, the Democrat IRS and the Democrat FBI to target those people before the next election.

He's trying to retroactively justify his need for 30 machine gun carrying agents, 12 SUVs, 2 armored personnel carriers, and a pair of amphibious assault vehicles and coordinated live television coverage.

We toppled Baghdad with less.
