Any GOP senator who votes against the wall is done, politically, as a Republican. However, I suspect some of them might survive as independents. Murkowski and Collins, in particular. But most of them would be signing their own political death warrants - they’d be done with political office in this lifetime.

Look at the advanced age of some of these GOP Senators. Quite a few are in their last term so they don’t fear the voters. Alexander, Burr (already announced retirement), Grassley, Shelby, Inhofe, Roberts, Risch, Enzi. Add Romney, Collins, Murkowski and possibly McConnell. Not insignificant.
