Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay, MPs and government officials will discuss alternative arrangements to the Irish backstop as three days of talks begin.

The Alternative Arrangements Working Group, with Leave and Remain MPs, will meet for the first time on Monday after the Commons voted to find another way of avoiding a hard Irish border.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid has said "existing technology" could be used.

The Irish PM said the UK was reviewing ideas that had "already been rejected".

If the Brits are getting cold feet, they can reverse Brexit as long as they do so before or by March 29 by invoking Art 49 of the Lisbon Treaty.

Until they’re actually out of the EU, its by no means a done deal that’s irrevocable. Not quite.

It’s like a divorce with no equitable division of property and no spousal or child support at this point, keep what you possess and that’s the end of it. Britain should just do and thank its lucky stars they are not trapped in a losing proposition any longer.

Or if all uniparties decide not to honor Article 50, that what it says doesn’t mean what it says, Brexit is toast.

I can#t believe how this woman is everywhere...

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ SLAMMED FOR CALL WITH CORBYN

“Let’s build a movement across borders to take on the billionaires, polluters and migrant baiters, and support a happier, freer and cleaner planet,” he said.

Real Brits aren’t getting cold feet. The politicians had cold feet from the start and have been scare mongering and stalling ever since.

The British Prime Minister is to give a speech on Brexit in Northern Ireland tomorrow, her spokesman has said.

Yawn. This is a non problem. Here's how to solve it:

1. Britain walks out of the EU with no deal.
2. Britain announces they will keep the border with Southern Ireland open.
3. The EU then forces Ireland to build a hard border on their side.
4. The Irish finally realise they have been played for suckers by Brussels, and direct their anger where it belongs.

Thank you; you are correct. The EU could not allow the border to remain open, so if Britain refused to close it (my #2) the EU would force its closure (my #3) Thereby reminding the Irish Republic of their status as a colony of the EUSSR.

>>>2. Britain announces they will keep the border with Southern Ireland open.

What’s the logic behind leaving if the UK is going to continue to allow the free movement of people and goods?

Only if the UK wants to...:^)

I think they will put up some wimpy border crossing points for show and the Irish (both sides) will ignore it.

They have a much better border in the Irish Sea. :^)

No logic I can see. But another of Britain's Traitor politicians signed a treaty to keep the border open, and Britain largely honors its treaties. Even when assorted murderous Irish scum drive their car bombs across said border.

You can probably guess where my sympathies lie. When the aforementioned scum murdered Lord Mountbatten of Burma, one of the best and noblest Britons alive, they lost my sympathy forever. As the first Queen Elizabeth said: Let the Irish hang themselves.
