There is a lesson from scandal of moonwalking Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va.) being photographed in either in a KKK hood and sheet or blackface in his medical school yearbook.
In 2017 Northam decisively defeated Ed Gillespie for governor 54 to 45. (As an aside, Bill Kristol backed Northam.) In that race, the Democrats played the race card for all it was worth, while Gillespie was as hapless as a deer in the headlights.
This should not be a surprise. Democrats do what Democrats do -- play to win at any cost. And establishment Republicans do what establishment Republicans do -- lose 'gracefully.' And to be sure, Gillespie is a dyed-in-the-wool establishment Republican. His bio says he's a political strategist and lobbyist. He served as the Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2003 to 2005, was Counselor to the President from 2007 to 2009 during the presidency of George W. Bush, and cofounder with Karl Rove in Crossroads GPS.

Yea, I was thinking the same - Rove told him not to use it, because it was ‘divisive’.
LOL.
Sturkiss nails it.
This two overpaid Bushbot fools are why we lose elections .
Its time the VA Gop kick Ed and the Maverrick fools to the street .
The purpose of Bush League Republicans is to block the citizens from electing anyone who would side with the citizens and the rule of law.
Here the correct link
It’s hard to believe out of his college class of doctors that there’s not a solid Republican among them that would have gladly offered up this pic to Gillespie’s campaign. There is a report out from the Washington Post that one of his classmates offered this photo to this website BigLeaguePolitics after his outrageous comments concerning infanticide.
I think an enterprising reporter could have a story on their hands if they dig around and find out if indeed Gilespie’s campaign had these photos and did not use them.
The Virginia Republicans ran a sloppy campaign and by not uncovering the yearbook page lost a win. The Virginia Republicans should hang their heads in shame for such a poor job!!
Any ration to Fusion GPS, because it might as well be. Another conspiracy of dunces helping pave the way for more Leftists in government.
“Democrats...play to win at any cost.”
A concept foreign to the GOP.
Did they “not find” it, or did they find it and choose not to use it as “divisive”?
Gillespie/GOPe had to know about the picture, IMO. No guts, no glory/winning .... the GOPe/Repubs are masters at losing “gracefully” which is a true disgrace, considering what the Demon Rats are doing to Virginia and the country.

Joan Naidorf, whose husbands yearbook page is opposite Northams in the yearbook, said she was surprised the photos are only now coming out, given Northams stature in Virginia politics.
Weve often wondered over the last 10 years or so why someone didnt dig this up sooner, said Naidorf, a nonpracticing emergency room physician who lives in Alexandria
Eastern Virginia Medical School allowed students to pick their own photos for their yearbook page, Naidorf said. Her husband chose their engagement photo and other personal pictures. Another student chose a picture of men in blackface and dressed as women in what appears to be a variety-show routine.

Most conservatives I know merely tolerate most forms of government (at best) and despise them (at worst). As a result, hardly anyone I know with an ounce of ambition and self-respect has any interest in running for public office -- especially on a level where the office involves a full-time commitment. That's why the GOP in Washington has been dominated by losers and misfits like Paul Ryan, the Bush family, and Karl Rove.
The other type of Republican who you see in national political circles is the guy like Mitt Romney. For all his flaws, he had already been a highly successful businessman in private life before he ever ventured into politics. The problem the GOP has with people like this is that they treat their political interests mainly as a hobby, and therefore never seem to have the fire they need to win elections against craven, manipulative opponents.
While it's true that Donald Trump has turned the whole political scene upside down, let's also remember that he never ran for public office until he was 70 years old and had reached the point in his life where he felt there was nothing left to accomplish in his private business ventures.
Youd think Gillespie would be just the kind of Republican Bill Kristol would embrace. I guess he just couldnt resist reaching across the aisle to support the Coonman.
maybe Fusion stands for what has happened between parties. only problem is only one side changed. not Fusion, only solute/solvent reaction.
The Washington Generals are paid to lose. Paid well.
Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan ate doing very well.
