House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday mocked the “New Green Deal” just hours before its outline was unveiled — the latest example of the Democrat Party’s widening split between establishment lawmakers and its progressive wing on how to tackle “climate change.” Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are calling for a Green New Deal intended to transform the United States economy to combat climate change and create thousands of jobs in renewable energy.
The freshman lawmaker and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) are teaming up on the plan, which aims to eliminate all carbon emissions in U.S. energy production by 2030. A joint resolution drafted by Ocasio-Cortez and Markey sets a goal to meet “100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources,” including dramatic increases in wind and solar power.
A news conference at the Capitol is set for Thursday, the day they introduce the resolution.
In an interview with Politico, Pelosi said that while she is moving forward with plans to create a climate change panel, a suggestion to use it to write legislation for the “Green New Deal” is not in the cards. “It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,” Pelosi told Politico. “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?”
On Thursday, Pelosi released a list of several members named to the select committee, which — most notably — did not include Ocasio-Cortez.

I think Nancy knows this is a non starter. Even if somehow such a plan passes the House, it will never pass the Senate. So, why even go there, may well be what Democrat leaders are thinking.
And pushing this green new deal stuff can only hurt the Democrats in 2020.

The cost to implement that monstrosity runs into the tens of trillions. Even Plastic Face Pelosi knows this! That said, I don’t think the witch has any idea how much support the dimwit AOC has among the millennials. The grassroots of the RAT Party contain a lot of voters even more sicker and radical than their leadership in Congress!

Of the three main dystopian novels I am familiar with, 1984, Brave New World, and Ayn Rand’s Anthem, it looks like Anthem is the one coming closest to the Leftist vision of the future — science outlawed, only horse and wagons for transportation, no one is allowed a name, no personal pronouns, and absolute control by the state.
They want more Solyndras so they can run off with our money and retire billionaires without actually doing butkis.

The Donkey, Ocasio-Cortez has momentum going for her despite Pelosi’s efforts to tamp down the socialistic messages.
Besides, the communist organizers of the Sunrise Movement are infiltrating the democrats at the local levels, or attempting to do so. Just where did Cortez come from anyway. Anyone check?
The last thing the democrats need right now is to not only be tarred as baby-killers, but socialists.
