This woman is an idiot. Unfortunately, we as a nation are perfectly capable of electing her to Congress, and someday the White House.
I don't know or care about how bright she is. What matters to me is that she is a dogmatic ideologue, who holds very strong beliefs based upon a variety of false or misleading information, and a lack of appreciation of some very important information.
I also believe she is a racist, of sorts, just like people like van Jones are. She seems consumed with racial and ethnic identity, and at the same time points fingers at others and labels them racists, or anti-diversity, or ‘old white men’, etc.. It's very dangerous, because her rhetoric splits society into the oppressed and the oppressors. The oppressors are really anyone who has personal success in society and who has as a consequence more than others. The only way to ‘set things right’ is to take from them what they have earned and redistribute it. It's not any different than the sentiments that were pushed to fuel the Bolshevik Revolution, the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and the revolution in Cuba.
Equally or more dangerous is that the she, and many on the left, are invoking fundamental tenets of Christianity and other religions to justify what they are pushing on society. Help the poor. Feed the hungry. Clothe the unclothed. Heal the sick. Give of yourself for others. These are the fundamentals that we believe in as an America with a long and deep Christian heritage. We are charitable as a nation, and have a great belief in fairness. So, the left uses that, all the while pushing political systems that are rooted in secularism and that rob people of freedom, self-determinism, and dignity.
That said, I think it is essential that we counter their political pitches and diatribes with truth and facts. We cannot let them be successful in characterizing their positions as morally superior. They are in so many ways immoral, and that needs to be pointed out again, and again, and again. I don't care if Ocasio-Cortez has an IQ of 80 or 190. It's her ideas and dogmatic ideology that I care about, and the best way to silence her is to accurately define the ultimately uncaring, oppressive, freedom-stealing nature of the old worn out Marxist drivel she is embracing and wants to force on us.
