Make voting a right that is accorded only to the that serve , or have served , in the Armed Forces and their dependents , those that actually pay income taxes , and to those that actually own property .
You have to pass a basic civics test , speak English , and be at least a 2nd generation migrant .
To all others , stand in line and enjoy the ride .
NO PERSON , who is not a United States native born citizen should be allowed to hold ANY elected office , State or Federal , within the United States .
‘Naturalization’ should NOT allow for the right to run for or hold elected office . That right should only open to the 2nd generation , native U.S. born children , of legally entered and naturalized immigrant /citizens .
Anyone that has ever been found guilty of illegal entry or overstay in the United States should be permanently banned from ever being granted naturalized U.S. citizen status .
Children born to illegal immigrants remain the citizenship of the parents who entered illegally and gave birth to them on U.S. soil .
