Hey, Democrats, I've lived in a socialist country with income 'equality' and it was miserable

proposals by decrying income inequality, many of us who immigrated to the United States from socialist countries see great irony. After all, unending income equality is what drove us to leave our native lands in the first place.

My family left post-Mao Communist China in the mid-1980s precisely because there was so much equality to go around. As a child, I lived in Guangzhou, the third largest city in China. Everyone in my city was equal in having no running hot water, no modern toilet facilities, no refrigerator, no washer, no dryer, and no color television.

Imagine a world without Whole Foods, Safeway and Walmart, or the plethora of products stocked on their shelves. Imagine no Vitamin Water, no Gatorade, no Starbucks, no Panera Bread, no candy bars and no sea salt potato chips. Now imagine instead being allotted food stamps from the government, indicating how much your family can eat.

There was abundant equality in the dearth of economic opportunities as well. The state told us where to live, where to work, what to buy, and for how much. Worse yet, my fellow citizens who lived in the countryside were even more impoverished.

Logic is lost on leftists. The only thing they understand is force and power.

I’ve used the British NHS and the HK clone of that system.

It’s like a county hospital in a lot of ways with about the same wait time.

We need more of our legal immigrants to speak out and educate these socialists.

One of Trump’s unsung accomplishments is the level of support he is developing in immigrant communities especially among Hispanics. They are coming to realize that it is the inherent freedom , liberty and the productive free enterprise capitalism that creates real wealth and prosperity that led them to flee their impoverished, socialist homelands. There they had no real opportunity and were actively suppressed. As Trump’s policies give these immigrants more access to what is America, they support him more. They even support the building of a wall since they realize a nation without borders soon ceases to be a nation. Suspect that Trump will do much better among Hispanics in 2020.

Just ask one of these craven commies on camera what would you do to the people who don’t want to conform to their draconian laws. The answer would chill most people to their core. This all leads to gulags and poverty/starvation with the elite still flying in planes and riding in limos.

On Carlson last night the professor who wrote her New Deal lied about the pay whether you work or not. Why work if you are getting paid anyway?

The absolute truth. Kim Jon Un rides around in a luxury train with unimaginable luxury & food while the populace starves.

The motive for socialism is that those in control use the government power to steal from everybody and make themselves unimaginably rich and powerful. It requires a naïve,fearful, subdued population. Hence gun control, hoaxes like “climate change,” government control of health care, and the pushing of unlimited drug abuse.

Leftists want people to be miserable. That’s what makes them happy.

If you keep robbing Peter to pay Paul, eventually they will both ask: "What's the point of working?"
That's the downfall of socialism, initiative is punished, mediocrity is rewarded, the politicization of every issue and the endless brutal enforcement of a system that can not work by itself.
The leaders still live in opulence though, there is an oligarchy, so communism ends up being feudal, just like the tsarist system the Bolsheviks tried to replace.

See my tagline.

Income inequality is the result of the fundamental existence of inequality.

The reasons for fundamental inequality are too many to be counted.

One reason is laziness

It’s one of those imponderables, isn’t it? Because there are millions of immigrants who know exactly what the deal is. Why, for example, haven’t Republicans been sounding the alarm for decades? There is no better example than people who’ve been there done that.

A local guy around here testified before congress some years ago. He started a precision gearbox manufacturing company, highly regarded. OSHA, I think it was, showed up and dinged him for not having some low voltage low current wiring in conduit or something like that, just stupid.

He was from Romania originally or someplace like that. He had seen both the Nazis and Communists come and go and was well versed in the bureaucracy and red tape of totalitarian nutbars & socialists. In his testimony he did not have nice things to say where we were headed as a nation.

The most important thing IMHO is not the better standard of living in the west.

It is precisely that one side, the conservatives, don’t want to force everyone to do ANYTHING, with the exception of respecting other people’s constitutional rights.

-Not so on the left.

Socialism will treat you like a child. Tell you what to do for a living. Where to live. What you are worth. What you can say.
- And what you can think-

To continue, freedom and security are diametrically opposed in a zero sum equation.

The more of one, the less of the other.

The real question is; how free do you want to be?

Equal means the same amount. So everyone is to get the same amount of money, drive the same car, eat the same slop in a communist land. Except the ruling elite which lives high off the hog as it scorns the public whose money they take.

And if you resist, they put you in a "reeducation camp" or "disappear" you.

I visited Mongolia a couple of years ago. It is a beautiful country, but I could see signs of the spiritual depredation caused by socialism everywhere. Cultural sites were run down, in bad need of repair and fresh paint. I could go on about everything I saw, but don't really want to write a novel right now. I will just say that the difference between Mongolia (helped by the Soviets since the 1920s) and Korea (helped by the US since the 1950s) is vast.

Yes. If it was as good as the left thinks it is, there wouldn't be such a thriving private ‘out of pocket’ medical industry in England.
