Egalitarianism abolishes causality in the earning of income, resulting in people doing to little, and it abolishes causality in the spending of income, causing people to be unconcerned about cost, resulting in people spending too much. The evasion of causality is one of the signs and symptoms of irrationality.
I am sure it all sounds good to the likes of Bernie Sanders. To those guys it is all power and the less the population haas the more the elite has.Our Leftists all imagine themselves as being the ones who will be directing this Utopia. They can’t see that there are too many of them. There is not room for but a very small peprcentage at the top and there is no midddle, except for the apparatchiks and the army and that middle is at a material level not much above the barely alive rest of the population.
Socialism is cynicism directed towards society and , correspondingly, naiveté towards government.Or to put it another way, socialism conducts a war by government against society.
LBJ’s “War on Poverty” was actually a war against society. His “Great Society” program was actually a great government, minimal society program.

It will fall on deaf ears. Progressives, at least in the early 20th century usage of the term, are simply Marxists who believe in evolution instead of revolution. They believe in the utopic, perfectability of (some select) humans. In their minds, socialism hasn't succeeded because the right people haven't yet had a chance to implement it. Of course, to a man and woman, they believe they are the right people (I.e., "the one we have been waiting for").
Hence, any legal immigrant from Cuba, Venezuela, Viet Nam, China, the old Soviet bloc etc. is readily dismissed. Moreover, people opposing the chosen ones are easily marginalized, eventually dehumanized and ultimately disposed of.

True. All men are NOT created equal..the only way they can be considered as equal is in the application of law and justice. Unfortunately, we don’t even have that.
There is also unequal ambition.
Some people are driven to become a CEO, others are happy just to work to get a paycheck.
And then there is medicine for the health of the Leaders. The health of the population will not be a concern of the leadership. There will be clinics but they will have less and less medicine and lower and lower skill levels. The socialists now assume they will be able to monopolize the modern system of medicine and health. They can, of course, but the quality and quantity must decline rapidly as the ppowerhouse of medical innovation and production can no longer afford to produce or even maintain it and with America a socialist Utopia there will be nowhere left in the world for the Rulers to go to get their diseases cured.
When America shuts down so does the rest of the world. Europe cannot exist as modern states at its modern level without America without dismantling totally its own system of governance in favor of government like America had 150 years ago.
The only rich people in a socialist sociaty are the ones in charge and they are evil.
The rich in a free sociaty feeds that
sociaty.

The most common thing I hear from those who have been to China is that the stench is everywhere, especially in rural areas, due to lack of toilets. My SIL, who with my brother and their family lived there for several years in the 90s and early 2000s, told me the lavatories on trains consist of a hole in the floor with two railings on either side to hold on to while squatting over it.
