Tom Wolfe wrote an insightful novel about the student life at the fictional DuPont University (actually a fictional composite of Duke and several of the Ivies) during the Clinton era.
This story reads like a chapter from the novel “I am Charlotte Simmons”.
I read that book the summer before my daughter started college. It was very scary as a parent but looking back it was accurate unfortunately.
