Netflix reportedly paid a record sum to obtain the rights to a documentary about the election campaign of Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
“Knock Down the House,” which followed the 2018 midterm primary elections of four Democratic women, three of whom lost their bids, rose from its initial Kickstarter funding to the Festival Favorite Award at Utah’s Sundance Film Festival.
Netflix announced its decision to purchase rights to the film on Thursday. The streaming service reportedly paid $10 million, the most ever for a Sundance Film Festival documentary.

Who invented AOC remains to be seen, but all woke capital will be paying him/her tribute very soon.
Netflix has no intent of making money on this, just as whoever is paying her advance on her "book" doesn't expect to sell a lot of copies.

I thought House members weren't allowed to take book advances since the Gingrich fandango years ago. That was a bogus issue intended solely to Get Newt, but the House did change its rules in the face of a media firestorm. Have they removed the ban since?

Weren’t both Obamas given cushy busywork “jobs” at Netflix when Obunga left office. I suspect they had a big hand in getting this project on the agenda. They’re probably counting on AOC to continue their crusade of destroying the US of A, and swerving it into a communist s**thole very much like Venezuela.
