The ‘shows’ were out there comforting the elites this morning. How brave of them to stand up for the powerless Jeff “Bozo” Bezos...

Looks to be fascinating...especially if Schultz stays in. He seems like a logical choice, but that’s only for sane peeps. Suppose he started polling well, showing only he could challenge DJT....would dems embrace/try to recruit him to run as a dem ?

I want to make this very clear:

Rodguy911, maker of some of the worlds BEST saltwater fishing rods, is a dear Internet friend I want visit and go fishing with and I love him like a brother. Nothing will alter that.

However, I do disagree with conspiracy theories, especially anything involving aliens or a total lack of scientific proof. That, for me, also means man-made global warming, the ultimate conspiracy theory of our age.

However, as you said to me Rod, we all have our own opinions and I do respect that.

No, that is NOT part of history. It is MADE UP.

Here’s the REAL history, minus the conspiracy theory website crap:

Three Sailors killed in a plane crash. That is ALL.

Exactly great post-abc is advancing little more than a radical political agenda nothing more

Radical and divorced from reality. What I find disturbing is the response from our side. Why isn't anyone stating the obvious, i.e., Medicare has been running in the red since 2008. Once the HI Trust Fund is exhausted in 2026, benefits will have to be reduced, by law, to the revenue received.

Expanding Medicare for all means higher taxes and reduced benefits. And the General Fund will take an even bigger hit to fund SMI, (Medicare's Supplementary Medical Insurance) for Parts B, C, and D). In 2017 $292.5 billion (equivalent to 42% of the funds spent by DOD) came from the GF to fund SMI and that number will continue to increase every year as the numbers on Medicare increase in an aging society. Expanding Medicare will increase those numbers geometrically.

About 10% of doctors no longer accept new Medicare patients and 30% don't accept new Medicaid patients because the reimbursement rates are lower than actual costs. Those numbers will increase if Medicare is expanded to all. Access to medical care will decrease as a result. And one thing that people may not realize is that 90% of all Medicare recipients have Medi-gap or supplementary private insurance to cover the difference between what Medicare pays and what they are responsible for. The private insurance companies will continue to flourish under an expanded Medicare system.

80% of American income earners pay more in payroll taxes than they do in income taxes.

Who would have thought that Linda would turn out to be the Presidents strongest ally in the Senate?

Graham was one of the House prosecutors during the Clinton impeachment proceedings. “You don’t have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job in this Constitutional Republic,” Graham said in a 1999 clip posted on Twitter by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell. He said a president could get the boot if Congress decides “your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds”: “Impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.”

The shoe is on the other foot and old Linda is running the Show. As Joey Stalin one said - It matters not who votes, it only matter WHO Counts the votes

.."All, and I mean all, of the rest of these Sunday morning shows are pure “Hogwash” and waste of your time and energy."

True only if you're looking for some semblance of truth. We recognize it when it pokes through on "ALL" of these time wasting shows. I'm looking for the lies, and we're trying to expose them. It's not easy...too many lies to keep up.

I consider myself a big fan of the "Sunday Morning Talk Thread". I'm mostly a lurker, but drop my .02 on occasion. It's my Sunday morning thing to do.

I consider every contributor here a valuable asset to the cause and thank each of you for your input. The four I've directed this to are those I consider my favorites. AB for his weekly dedication putting it out; Bray for his weekly essay, and Fish for her weekly recap. Rodguy is a prolific poster, and brings attention to stuff I'd never find on my own. Thanks to all.

On another thread on this site, I'm also known as "limerick guy". Although I've written limericks for many years, I just started posting them on FR on current topics. Following is one I posted a couple of months ago on the big left turn Fox News has made. I thought it was appropriate for this thread too, and you may or may not agree with me, but here it is anyway

******************************************************************************
Fox is not the same place
They’ve completely abandoned their base
They used to stand out and always raised doubt
On main media’s left leaning case

Fair and balanced was once their refrain
But to watch now is often real pain
Trump’s hated so much, the dial I touch
Cause some shows have gone down the drain

Shepard Smith is worst of them all
Nonstop bashing of Trump in that drawl
It brings him delight, and he does it with spite
It’s so bad it makes him look small

Juan has always been left of the pack
But these days he’s almost a hack
He must take the view that is hardcore blue
I can’t believe he’s that far off track

The panels have lost their appeal
At one time they were a big deal
Their bias is deep, they all act like sheep
Because of their anti Trump zeal

Some will say that Brett is a hack
Up till now I still have his back
His show is real news, it isn’t his views
It’s better than MSM yack

I haven’t given up yet
I still like to watch Sean and Brett
Martha’s a jewel, and Tucker’s so cool
Judge Jeanine is always a good bet

I left out some favorites this time
Cause it’s hard to make them all rhyme
But I’m still hanging in, although patience is thin
Please Fox, stop the slide into slime.

25 years ago I would have agreed with you but in the past 25 years I’ve read a lot of stuff that I’ve confirmed and reconfirmed so I guess we all have our own beliefs

God help us.

Hell, Canadians, Cubans, Mexicans and residents from the tip of Chile are..."Americans".

All I am saying is that if AOC can be happy with this definition, WHY, Why can you not be as happy :)

Thanks Kabar for the very through and insightful stats and info on Medicare etc.

A fine tutorial that really should be shown by the MSM but never will be as they want to create the illusion of free and stable as long as the government is involved.

Great point on providers. Being on Medicare with a paid for by me supplement I get to see what the dr or hospital rates are, then what Medicare approves. When it comes down to it volume and charging for ancillary items ( dressings etc) is what keeps many afloat.

Medicaid dressed up, is the Dems foothold into single payer.....

They are counting on the masses to hear “ free” and “ fair” to achieve that goal...

His punishment was banishment to a luxury apartment with his equipment where he could continue his research.

Spending the remaining nine years of his life under house arrest is not exactly the way one would like to spend their remaining years on earth.

Galileo continued to receive visitors until 1642, when, after suffering fever and heart palpitations, he died on 8 January 1642, aged 77. The Grand Duke of Tuscany, Ferdinando II, wished to bury him in the main body of the Basilica of Santa Croce, next to the tombs of his father and other ancestors, and to erect a marble mausoleum in his honor.

These plans were dropped, however, after Pope Urban VIII and his nephew, Cardinal Francesco Barberini, protested, because Galileo had been condemned by the Catholic Church for "vehement suspicion of heresy". He was instead buried in a small room next to the novices' chapel at the end of a corridor from the southern transept of the basilica to the sacristy.

He was reburied in the main body of the basilica in 1737 after a monument had been erected there in his honor; during this move, three fingers and a tooth were removed from his remains. One of these fingers, the middle finger from Galileo's right hand, is currently on exhibition at the Museo Galileo in Florence, Italy.

obviously you need to do a lot more than just a casual search which is not enough.
a an exhaustive search will yield unique corroboration from numerous other sources which you don’t have and are not seeking so just believe what you want to believe and I’ll believe what I want to believe.
